Read the time without losing the date

Search by a city name, country or IANA identifier such as America/New_York. Select a result to change the featured clock. Results identify the city and its country or region; Springfield in Massachusetts and Springfield in Illinois are separate choices because their zones differ.

Each clock shows a local date, time-zone abbreviation and UTC offset. Compare the date as well as the hour: Tokyo may already be on the next day while New York is still on the previous evening. Use the format control to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour display.

Search offers country or region shortcuts for explicitly supported shared zones, such as Japan (Tokyo). City names still work as aliases. Countries with multiple zones retain city choices: choose the actual location rather than assuming one country-wide offset. Mainland China has three visible entries: China (Beijing time), Beijing and Shanghai. Overseas territories and differing historical zone rules are not silently merged.

An example of one instant in four cities

At 2026-10-13T01:26:00Z, these clocks describe the same instant:

CityLocal date and timeUTC offset
New YorkOctober 12, 21:26−04:00
LondonOctober 13, 02:26+01:00
TokyoOctober 13, 10:26+09:00
SydneyOctober 13, 12:26+11:00

This is a worked example, not a live reading. Sydney is using daylight-saving time on that date. An offset is date-dependent; a city does not necessarily keep the same difference from your home zone throughout the year.

Choose the right next step

Use the time converter for a particular appointment date and source clock reading. Use the meeting planner for 2–6 cities and a complete meeting duration. Its suggestions compare stated working hours; they do not inspect anyone’s calendar.

Your initial home zone comes from the browser’s time-zone setting, not GPS or IP location. Change My city if you want to compare against another place. Favorite cities can be added, removed and reordered; unavailable or corrupted storage does not prevent a time lookup.

The live display is only as accurate as your device clock. This tool compares local times and dates; it does not calculate sunrise or sunset. For seasonal offset changes and repeated times, read time zones and DST.

Questions, answered

Where do these current times come from?

They come from your device clock and your browser’s IANA time-zone rules. This page does not synchronize your device with an external time server.

Does this world clock show sunrise or sunset times?

No. It shows local dates, clock times and time-zone offsets. It does not calculate sunrise, sunset or daylight conditions.

Are my favorite cities saved online?

No. City order, your selected home zone and time format are stored only in this browser when storage is available.
